MissBea’s Finished Cards and WIP!

Hey guys!!

 

I’m really proud of my recent work and my mother bought me an amazing, big, new set of watercolour pencils today (!!!!) so I thought it was about time to show you guys what I’m working on. I apologise for the bad webcam pictures.

 

I have finished one card: Pasties.

Here is an updated close-up showing the new colouring work I finished tonight on her fascinator, lips and pasties:

I am very proud of the way the roses have turned out as details like that are not my forte.

 

Here is my Penis Obsession Painting which I have either almost finished or finished, depending on your opinion as to whether I should go with Pixie’s badass idea of putting a blue heart-shaped sapphire necklace on the image in the little painting, a la Titanic. I am keen to as I think it would add to the fuckery, but I don’t want to overdo it – necklace + tophat seems a little overkill. Thoughts?

And finally, my WIP: Honey Badgers.

I am very proud of the way this one is turning out. I did not think that I would be able to design my own cartoon badger for the background OR tessellate it, yet I have done both.

    (I think the necklace in the penis drawing is not necessary. I got “Titanic” already from what you have)

      I’m thinking that, too. I would rather have the necklace than the top-hat, but I’m not sure I can cope with starting from scratch again. How do you think it would look if I cut another piece of paper out the size of the canvas and stuck that on top and redid the mini-painting? I’m not happy with it and the paper on top may give it a cool 3-D look.

      I’m not sure. What do you think?

      1. But I love the top hat!

        the only way I’d be OK with removing the top hat is if you put that octopus on the necklace (it can be blue), and maybe add a monocle.

        Adding another piece of paper would work fine and the added dimensionality would look cool.

  2. I had a band of 10 year old boys nearby when I pulled these up…heh heh, fortunately they were looking at the Wii and not at me and the boring stuff grandma’s do…

    Penis Obsession looks so perfect as is, so I’m not going to try to do any helpful commentary. I just can’t wait to get my hands on these cards.

  4. I’d be a bit worried about the nechlace being very small in the finished card. It may be too small to see. But it’s such a great idea.

    The art looks really, really great.
