MissBea’s Finished Cards and WIP!

Hey guys!!

I’m really proud of my recent work and my mother bought me an amazing, big, new set of watercolour pencils today (!!!!) so I thought it was about time to show you guys what I’m working on. I apologise for the bad webcam pictures.

I have finished one card: Pasties.

Here is an updated close-up showing the new colouring work I finished tonight on her fascinator, lips and pasties:

I am very proud of the way the roses have turned out as details like that are not my forte.

Here is my Penis Obsession Painting which I have either almost finished or finished, depending on your opinion as to whether I should go with Pixie’s badass idea of putting a blue heart-shaped sapphire necklace on the image in the little painting, a la Titanic. I am keen to as I think it would add to the fuckery, but I don’t want to overdo it – necklace + tophat seems a little overkill. Thoughts?

And here is a close up for you:

And finally, my WIP: Honey Badgers.

I am very proud of the way this one is turning out. I did not think that I would be able to design my own cartoon badger for the background OR tessellate it, yet I have done both.

Here it is:

And the close-up so you can see the background detail:

Skull Fascinator/Death WIP

So, the euro hamster shawl needs a bit of tweaking, as does other bits need cleaning up – this is just the colour sketch though, I’m working on smaller versions before doing the larger final versions.

I’ve tried to incorporate as many dead things without taking away the desolate feel. Anyway, here it is (please excuse fuzzy photo)…

WIP 8 of WTF

Size of the Smell

And here is my card with the painting done, the next step will be to stain it.  The stain will drop into the tooled areas which will make them stand out out and it will make the metallic paint a bit less shiny so it will look a lot better after that step.  I’m hoping to do the staining tonight so I may be able to get a picture of it tomorrow.

And here it is wth the stain applied.  I may still do some touch ups on the paint before I apply the finish, but this is pretty close to how the completed piece will look.

WIP: Major II – Helen Killer

this is a photoshop mockup of what will be a fabric rendition (waiting for the dog fabric to arrive) – it’s the High Priestess card with Helen superimposed on it for now. I was going to leave the B and J pillars alone, because, well, “BJ”, but thinking about it for a bit, I think W and F would be much better. Or do you think I should spell it out? Will people get W F or is that too obscure?

She’ll be holding a moustache on a stick, if I can render her hand so it looks like a hand and not a lobster claw.  Also notice, the other sandal is on her foot.
